River reinforcement

On its first project, Suttle Projects’ new 25t Doosan DX255LC-3 crawler excavator has been used to complete challenging sheet piling work as part of a bridge scour protection contract carried out by Southamptonbased Dyer & Butler for London Underground.

Working below a rail bridge over the River Gade in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, Suttle installed sheet piles using an excavator-mounted side grip vibratory hammer so the river could be diverted to allow erosion protection of the bridge.
