A review of the business case for London's Crossrail link was announced last week. The review will focus on whether Crossrail is deliverable and if it offers good value for money.

'As part of the review I have been asked to explore how much of the very large cost of this scheme might be justified from the taxpayer and how much might be raised from non-government sources, ' said head of the review team Adrian Montague.
