Reports dismissed by Department of Transport

The Department of Transport has dismissed reports that the Treasury will not fund London's Crossrail project because of the rising costs of the 2012 Olympics.

A spokesman said: 'Our commitment to Crossrail is demonstrated by the fact that more than £250M has been spent developing it. The Ofce for Government Commerce has conrmed that both projects could be delivered without unmanagable impact on supply prices.'
