MPs demand Hinkley answers

Its still a disgusting figure - 18bn for 3GW. Its uninsured. The waste issue is immoral and its the wrong solution. It offers no local engineering job as a substantial percentage of the total workforce. All components come from overseas. Nothing there to hang our hat on and be proud of. I hope the project gets cancelled. A barrage solution in the estuary and elsewhere on the west coast is much more valuable and provides protection against coastal flooding. They would also last longer; they would involve Brits and British labour. All good for the British economy.
