Repairs begin on A10 heave


Contractors have begun repairing the limestabilised section of the A10 Wadesmill bypass in Hertfordshire which heaved earlier this year (GE April 04).The Highways Agency says small ridges and cracking resulted from 'a chemical reaction with the road foundation layers'but declined to comment further on the cause.
