Regional Development Agencies given boost

England's nine Regional Development Agencies are to be given an extra £500M to boost the annual funding they receive from Government from £1.2bn this year to £1.7bn by 2003-2004. The Agencies set up to fund projects fostering economic regeneration will have extra cash to fund infrastructure improvements identified in their 10 year economic strategies (NCE 28 October).
