Regeneration: working together for a prosperous future

Session 5

Wednesday 1 July, 2pm

ICE President Sir Alan Cockshaw will kick off the session on regeneration by sharing his experiences of partnering as chairman of Manchester Millennium Limited.

A presentation on the transformation of Cardiff Bay will follow from the engineering director of the Cardiff Bay Development Corporation David Crompton in a session to be rounded off by observations of the social effects of regeneration projects from MP for Cardiff West Rhodri Morgan.

'Successful regeneration relies on genuine partnerships. Municipal engineering skills are a vital ingredient alongside community involvement in the regeneration of deprived areas,' said session chairman Richard Haisman, who is head of engineering at Cannock Chase Council.
