Reflex action gets the measure of boreholes

SWEDISH INSTRUMENT manufacturer Reflex Instrument has launched its new borehole survey tool, the Reflex EZ-Shot.

The solid state, single shot tool is self-contained and sealed and fits inside most commercially available running gear and pressure barrels.

The tool measures six parameters: azimuth (direction), inclination (dip), roll (tool face) angle relative to dip, roll (tool face) angle relative to magnetic North, magnetic field strength and temperature. Timer delay can be set on the integral keypad from 1 minute to 24 hours.

Data is stored until start of the next survey and is selected and read from an LCD four-digit display on the keypad. The battery has an operational life of 10 years.
