Real ail

As a graduate who did go to the NCE Communications Competition event in Cardiff last month (Letters, NCE last week) and indeed made to effort to travel from Exeter to attend, I would like to make a suggestion.

Why not make the subjects that the teams present on real world projects rather than the fictional ones presently used?

I think that rather more students and graduates would attend if the event could be publicised as a series of presentations on projects in which other students and graduates have been involved, rather than the focus being on the competition itself.

Having said this, I found the event even it its present format very interesting and would encourage more students and graduates to attend in the future.
