NCE events Charity golf day

TWENTY TEAMS of construction golfers tee off today in the second NCE Masters charity golf competition at The Old Thorns Golf & Country Club in Liphook, Hampshire.

The event is set to raise over £10,000 for engineering charity RedR and help pay for the training and registration of more engineers to help out aid agencies in disaster zones.

Auction of items including a digital camera, a signed bat and shirt from Surrey County Cricket Club, a day at Epsom Race Course and golf equipment should also boost funds.

The competition will see eighty golfers compete both in teams and individually over a tough 18 hole course before enjoying dinner and entertainment in the evening.

Full results and a report of the event will appear in NCE next week. Anyone who has missed the event but wants to make a donation to RedR should contact Sue Russell at RedR on (020) 7233 3116.
