Joanne Iddon of Ove Arup & Partners (second left) has won the Institution's James Rennie Medal, awarded for the best reports from last year's Corporate Professional Review candidates. Iddon's report on the Canary Wharf Underground Station Project, beat off The Heathrow Express Recovery Works by Graham James Kennington; Vasco Da Gama Bridge Crossing by Kieran Cliffe and Construction of Seremban Highway & Bukit Jalil Viaducts STAR - Light Rail Transit System Phase II, by Kemper L J Booher. The four finalists presented their papers on 16 September. Iddon's report reflected on project management work on the JLE project, while on a one-year secondment at Tarmac, in 1996. More recently, Iddon has been project managing the engineering design on the Portman Building Society Headquarters in Bournemouth, now under construction.
