Ramboll director appointed president of CIWEM

The Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM) has announced the appointment of Ramboll director Paul Hillman as its new president.

Hillman has identified environment, water and health as the key themes of his presidency but is also aiming to highlight the role of CIWEM in delivering public benefit and the challenges in delivering environmental benefits from the development process during his tenure.

CIWEM has said that environmental engineering specialist Hillman, who has 40 years of experience in the construction industry, is ideally placed to take on the presidential role. Through his work at Ramboll, Hillman has worked on environmental aspects of the Mersey Gateway scheme and the Forth Replacement Crossing and also lectures environmental issues at the University of Southampton.
