Railway Civil Engineers Association

The Railway Civil Engineers Association (RCEA) held its annual general meeting last month at Great George Street.

Graeme Monteith became the first chairman to be reelected, and Railtrack head of track asset management David Ventry was elected deputy chairman. Immediate past chairman is Graham Bessant.

Steven Kay of O' Brian Kreitzberg was elected secretary, and committee members were confirmed as Simon Blanchflower, Colin Brading, David Dawson, David Hanson, John Haughey and Rob Walson.

The AGM agreed to a revision of the constitution to enable the management committee to co-opt up to four people. These will help cope with the increasing workload arising from the increased membership, which now stands at 360, and the expanding activities of the RCEA.
