Quick fix

FRENCH COMPANY Titanite has developed a range of sealing resins designed to seal bolts and anchor rods in both rock and concrete.

The manufacturer claims the product is particularly suitable for tunnelling applications.

Titafix is a two component resin and catalyst which are injected into the anchor hole and then mixed by rotating the anchor rod.

The resin mix is designed to polymerise rapidly to become extremely strong and rigid. This, says Titanite, makes Titafix well suited to pneumatic injection of resin cartridges by jumbos, which is a rapid and cost-effective method of rock bolting.

Titanite is seeking distributors in the UK, Ireland and elsewhere.
