Quick cure

Instarmac's Ultracrete RSC, a pre-mixed blend of very fast hardening special cements and chloride-free accelerators, has been used to fix crash barriers on the Mersey Tunnel approach roads. Instarmac says Ultracrete RSC is normally workable for up to 10 minutes and sets after 20 to 30 minutes, achieving compressive strengths of 20N/mm2 within one hour. It can also be mixed with aggregates on site to produce a range of high strength concrete and mortar mixes at what Instarmac describes as 'a sensible overall cost'.
