Put Dome into play

LETTERS

With all the talk of which site should be used for the new national stadium (NCE 6 September), has no one considered the Millennium Dome site as a viable option?

The transport links to the site are already in place and any visiting sides could make use of the City Airport as a means of flying into the country. Surely the costs involved in converting the site would be less than that of the currently proposed schemes.

It would also make use of a site that seems unlikely to find an owner in the foreseeable future.
