Push for DTI Secondments

THE INSTITUTION is promoting the International Secondments service which was set up by the Department of Trade and Industry to help UK businesses gain a competitive edge in products and services.

The service gives financial and practical support to UK companies in overseas secondments of individuals from any discipline to any country for periods of three to 12 months. The objective is to help them learn best practice, improve productivity and develop overseas links.

Sixty companies have benefited from the service so far, resulting in staff secondmentsto 25 countries.
