Projects and products - Lafarge

New Concrete Engineering

Last month Lafarge Aggregates introduced the first six axle 44t articulated truckmixer into the UK. With a capacity of 10m 3, the new Liebherr HTM 1204S vehicle will operate out of Mountsorrel, Leicestershire, and supply the East Midlands area. It features hydraulic drive to the mixer drum, adjustable air suspension and Lafarge's standard reversing camera.

Lafarge says the unit's low centre of gravity and differential cross locking gives maximum manoeuvrability on uneven ground. And it points to the potential increases in productivity, efficiency and flexibility gained by adding the new 10m 3vehicle to its existing fleet of 6m 3and 8m 3truckmixers.

Large pours will be completed quicker, Lafarge believes, while smaller pours will require significantly fewer vehicle movements and less waiting time.
