Kvaerner: Queen Elizabeth II Bridge

A landmark project both in its technical complexity and financing is the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge across the Thames, designed and built by Kvaerner Construction under the first privately funded infrastructure initiative. The concession was awarded in 1988 and the bridge built in three years to programme and to budget.
