Profile raiser

ICE news

New ICE head of areas Stewart Crichton is a chartered civil and structural engineer with experience of working in Europe and the Middle East.

After completing an MBA he went on to work for a printing and publishing company where he worked on acquisitions.

Before arriving at the ICE in April this year, he was chief executive of the commercial arm of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

'I realised at RIBA that architects get a lot more exposure than engineers, so my job here will include raising the profile of civil engineers, ' he said.
