'For the main station, we ideally wanted to have one big station contract, because of all the interfaces, ' says Gardner. 'Initially we couldn't nd anyone who would bid for it so we put out the civils package, then went back to the market for the station building.' The initial civils contract was won by a joint venture of Costain, Laing O`Rourke and Bachy.
