Process of elimination

REGISTRATIONS FOR the annual Build a Building competition are due by 30 October.

The competition - co-sponsored by the ICE - aims to foster communication between different disciplines within the construction industry. Each team is tested for communication skills as they meet the challenge of simulating the design and construction process at a real site.

Vice president David Cawthra gave strong support for Build a Building: 'The recent publication Rethinking construction from Sir John Egan's Task Force, reinforces the importance of this competition.'

The final will be held in April 1999.
