Procedures to cover dispute resolution in the ICE Conditions of Contract will change after 1 July 2004.
The 'Engineer's decision' in Clause 66 will be replaced by a series of measures requiring each party to give the other warning of any likely dispute.
The updated clause should ensure disputes are dealt with during the course of a project without incurring large legal fees. The new Clause 66 is now available to download from www. ice. org. uk/law
