Private equity firm in line for Imtech Ireland acquisition and eyes Imtech UK

Private equity firm Endless LLP is in exclusive negotiations to buy Imtech Ireland. It is also interested in the activities of Imtech UK, according to a statement from the trustees of Royal Imtech in Amsterdam.

Endless LLP is in talks to acquire shares in Imtech Suir Engineering Limited in Ireland and its subsidiaries Imtech Suir MEC, Imtech Suir Saudi Arabia and Imtech Suir Qatar.

The announcement follows the sale of other areas of the Imtech group after the bankruptcy of Royal Imtech N.V. earlier this month.

Trustee Jeroen Princen said: “We are hopeful that we can conclude the sale of divisions before next Monday. It is important that clients and employees have clarity as quickly as possible. We are working day and night and doing our utmost to make that happen.”

Several divisions of Imtech have already successfully been sold including Imtech Marine and Imtech Nordic.

Imtech Traffic and Infra – excluding the Belgian activities – has been sold to Dutch private equity firm Egeria.
