POST HASTE: Installation of building services is now under way at the new Merrill Lynch financial centre. The centre is built on the site of the former King Edward Street sorting office close to St Paul's Cathedral in London. Carillion subsidiary Crown House Engineering is installing fire protection systems plus mechanical and public health services in two of the buildings under subcontracts awarded by Mace and GTMS. Mechanical services installation is being co-ordinated using a 3D computerised visualisation system developed by Navis Works, which allows Crown House to anticipate interface problems.
