Plant giant JCB posts record results with turnover up 37%

UK-based equipment manufacturer JCB today reported record financial results, with a turnover for 2011 of £2.75bn - up 37% on the previous year.

The company, which announced it’s results at the Intermat equipment show in Paris, sold 69,100 machines in 2011 compared with 51,600 in 2010, and made a profit before tax of £355M.

The largest growth areas were Russia, the CIS countries and Latin America.

JCB chief executive Alan Blake said: “We have refocused the business so that profitable growth and innovation are at the heart of all our future development.”
