Planning for bad weather standardised

Planning for bad weather on the UK roads network is to be standardised in a new initiative by the Highways Agency. It has asked its 26 maintenance consortia, responsible for managing the UK's trunk road network, to produce plans using the same template rather than each following their own layout. The Agency will also produce a new winter driving leaflet in conjunction with the Met Office later this year.
