Planning approval granted for tallest tower in the South West

Plymouth City Council has granted planning permission for a mixed-use development which includes a 120m high residential tower - the highest in the South West.

The development, which is on the former site of Television South West’s Plymouth city centre headquarters, includes a 31 storey 120m high residential tower with 109 apartments and two tower blocks accommodating two hotels and 142 student apartments.

The scheme is designed by Hyder Consulting and ADG Architects.

With a confirmed planning approval in place, developer Devington is proposing to commence work this autumn.
