Piling federation pilots apprenticeships

The Federation of Piling Specialists has announced that it has launched an apprenticeship scheme for the piling industry.

Under the two year programme, candidates will undertake four blocks of off site training at facilities owned by FPS member companies. Between these formal training periods the apprentices will work on site for their employer and document training and experience to count towards an NVQ Level 2 in Piling Operations. During the programme the apprentices will also gain a CSCS competence card together with their CPCS card as a slinger signaler.

Two off-site training modules have already been delivered and the third is planned for January.
