Panels point

Your piece about the Apicorp headquarters building (NCE 27 May) referred to the use of ferrocement soffit panels. The subcontractor who provided these was Ret-ser Saudi Arabia and not as quoted.

My company, NCL Stewart Scott, developed the idea of using ferrocement panels with Saudi Binladin Group so they could achieve significant savings in weight (approximately one third the weight of precast), and hence the cost of the large RC support beams, and went on to design and specify the units.
