Overseas director to spearhead White Young Green expansion

NEWS

FAST GROWING consultant White Young Green is to recruit an overseas director to mastermind expansion abroad, the company said last week.

Managing director John Purvis said the company had developed a strong presence in most regions of Britain and Ireland and was planning acquisitions further afield.

Results published last week show that the company increased profits from £2.3M to £2.7M in the year to 30 June. Turnover rose from £30.1M to £35.4M.

Increased integration of the merged White Young and Ernest Green businesses helped fuel growth, as did two acquisitions.

Last November the company bought Cardiff based Building Services Design. It then bought Leicester based civils consultant Peter Fraenkel & Partners in March.

Since the end of the financial year White Young Green has also bought Limerick based consultant Gibson O'Connor and Newcastle based Mason Pittendrigh.
