Oscar Faber is one of best 50 firms to work for

ST ALBANS-BASED consultant Oscar Faber is the only construction firm to make it into this year's Sunday Times list of the 50 best companies to work for, published last weekend.

Chosen from more than 200 companies, Oscar Faber came in at number 46, just ahead of computer giant IBM and immediately behind mobile phone provider One2One.

The exercise was sponsored by the Department of Trade & Industry and e-learning network Learndirect. Overall winner was Internet products supplier Cisco Systems, closely followed by Microsoft and credit card issuer Capital One.

To take part in the survey the company had to distribute a confidential questionnaire to at least 250 of its 800+ staff and complete a detailed 'Great place to work culture audit'.
