OPEN BOOK

OPEN BOOK: Queues to get into One Great George Street went round the block on Sunday last week when the ICE welcomed sightseers as part of London's Open House day. Buildings across the capital which are not normally on view to the public were specially opened for visitors. ICE ran 10 guided tours for a total of 244 visitors with librarian Mike Chrimes on hand to explain the special features of the building and its major rooms. Afterwards ICE staff were delighted to find in the visitors' book the accollade: 'A fantastic institution - I am proud to be a member!'
