Letters

As a codicil to my recent letter (NCE 27 February) I would like to point out the following regarding motorcycling in London.

My office is in Islington, just behind Kings Cross station and in a new Controlled Parking Zone. In all innocence I phoned the Parking Hotline to enquire where the motorcycle parking bays were located and was told that there aren't any!

When I asked why not, I was informed there wasn't any demand! However I was told that I could purchase a permit for £560 per year - the price as for cars - if I wanted.

How about that for forward thinking about environmentally friendly forms of transport.
