Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts was one of the winners at last week's Institution of Structural Engineers Structural Awards 2003 ceremony in London. The judges awarded designer Dewhurst Macfarlane & Partners in association with Goldreich Engineering a Structural Achievement Award for its pioneering use of loadbearing glass in the Center's spectacular roof.
