Carl Bro has appointed John Clarke-Hughes as divisional director of transportation. He joins from Haswell where for the past five years he was divisional director of the company's infrastructure division acting as lead consultant on the Dublin Port Tunnel.

David Smith has joined Scott Wilson's Chesterfield office as an Associate, working for the company's mining team. Smith has spent the past three years working as a principal mining consultant and project manager in Genoa, Italy, overseeing the construction and engineering of a new underground coal mine being constructed in Iran.

Scott Wilson director John Surguy has joined the consultant's UK central division board. He will continue in his role as local authority director in the highway management business unit.

Catherine Doran has joined Network Rail as the leader of the company's information management team. She will be leading an 800 strong team based in 460 locations throughout the country, managing the IT needs of 17,500 users.
