Halcrow has appointed John Theakston as a non-executive director. Theakston was formerly group CEO of Higgs & Hill and latterly of Swan Hill.

Amey has appointed Ruth Jeffs as director of local government and Andy Milner as director of strategic highways for its Owen Williams business stream.

Before Amey's acquisition of Owen Williams, Jeffs was service director for environment and safety within Amey and Milner was head of major projects at Owen Williams.

Atkins has appointed Mike Salter to its transport planning team as a business development manager, concentrating on the East Anglia region. He joins from the Government Ofce for the East of England (GO-East) .

Cost consultancy Davis Langdon has appointed David Sabine as project management partner in its Birmingham ofce.

Galliford Try has brought in three new project managers.

John Harmer joins from Kajima Construction (UK), David Wright joins from Rooff and Richard Chalmers from Furlong Homes.
