The West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence has appointed Michael Thompson as executive director. As a consultant over the past 10 years, Thompson has worked with more than 400 project teams, helping them implement collaborative working practices.
The UK Hydrographic Of ce has appointed Rear Admiral Ian Moncrieff as the UK National Hydrographer (UKHO) deputy chief executive. Formerly joint operational commander of British Forces South Atlantic, based in the Falkland Islands, Moncrieff will help lead the UKHO in working with the international hydrographic community and discharging the UK government's responsibilities for the Maritime & Coastguard Agency under the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea.
Former ICE Water Board and South East Water Forum chairman Graham Settereld has become Mid Kent Water executive chairman. This follows on from his previous role at the utility firm as a non-executive director and his role as director of water services at Water UK.
Basil Jackson is now Bedfordshire County Council Highways and Transport assistant director after moving on from his role at Cambridgeshire County Council as head of passenger transport.
