Martin Dines has been appointed programme manager for Oxford Data Capture. He will play a central management role with the rm's joint venture organisation GeODC, which provides services for the GIS and local government markets.

Solar energy company Solarcentury has appointed former Sony UK managing director Derry Newman as chief operating officer and Alan South as chief innovation ofcer. South is the former head of IDEO Europe.

White Young Green has appointed John MacMillan as business development manager. MacMillan will be charged with expanding the firm's regeneration and building projects portfolio in the east Midlands. He has previously worked for Ernst & Young, Mace and HBG.
