Stand D15 ScrewFast Foundations www. screwfast. com Screwfast Foundations will be introducing the Angel Pile at Civils. The system has been used to support signals for Network Rail, telecoms monopoles and CCTV cameras for the Scottish Executive and the Highways Agency. The system can be used in poor ground conditions where multiple piles or a large gravity base would have been needed in the past. The wing section is driven with a hydraulic pecker as a sleeve over an installed Screwfast pile. The wings provide an additional 4m 2 of bearing surface and thus mobilise sufficient passive support to carry loads of up to 120kNm.

Stand A2 Severn Trent Laboratories www. stl-ltd. com The commercial laboratory provides a range of comprehensive and expert analysis for monitoring all elements of the water cycle, the waste process, contaminated land testing, landfill assessment, asbestos, emissions measurements and microbiological investigations.

The fi rm is assured through UKAS and MCERTS accreditation and ISO9001 & ISO14001 certification.

Stand N42 Siltbuster www. siltbuster. com Siltbuster deals with all aspects of silt management for the construction industry. The firm specialises in the sale and hire of its mobile silt traps and treatment equipment.

These remove fi ne particles from groundwater, site run-off and process water such as from concrete batching plant and wheel washes.

Treated water can be discharged to sewers or watercourses. Siltbuster also offers advice on solids settlement, sedimentation testing, identification of chemical pre-treatment requirements (before settlement) chemical dosing optimisation and supply of fl occulant/coagulant and pH adjustment chemicals. The company is also a distributor for Hy-Tex Silt Terrastop Premium silt fence and Sedimat- Sediment entrapment mats for in river work.

Stand D24 Stats www. stats. co. uk Stats is an independent consultant with allied technical services providing developers, planning and design teams and construction and operation managers with a range of specialist professional investigation, monitoring, testing, evaluation and consultancy services. The firm's main areas of expertise are in environmental impact assessment and monitoring; site investigation, geophysical surveys, geotechnical engineering and land remediation; construction materials, building and structural investigation; asbestos and water management. Stats will be using Civils to raise awareness of the potential benefits of geophysical surveying as an integral part of geotechnical and geoenvironmental site investigations.

Stand C6 Uretek UK www. uretek. co. uk Contractor Uretek specialises in fl or lifting and deep injection technologies, both resin injection processes for ground strengthening which provide a fast, effective and relatively non-disruptive alternative to piling and underpinning when dealing with subsidence. Stand E26 Weldgrip Geotechnical www. weldgrip. com Weldgrip manufactures and supplies steel selfdrilling anchors, composite self-drilling soil nails, steel and composite rockbolts, rock netting and Gripmat. On show at Civils will be the unique formulation and make up of the firm's new composite self-drilling soil nail.

The modified vinyl ester and special glass used in the manufacturing process give the nails excellent corrosion resistance properties and allows them to be percussion installed through sands, gravels, clays and sands. The system is completed with a wide range of accessories, 316 Stainless steel couplers and end fittings and a range of drill bits, end plates and adaptors.

Stand C24 WRAP www. wrap. org. uk www. aggregain. org. uk WRAP is a government funded not for profit company which was set up to accelerate resource efficiency through creating stable and efficient markets for recycled materials and products and removing barriers to waste minimisation, re-use and recycling.

The construction sector is a major focus of its work, because of the sheer potential to divert tonnage from landfill and make more efficient use of materials.

Stand E24 WT Group www. wtgroup. co. uk The WT Group is a geotechnical and civil engineering company specialising in slope stabilisation, retaining structures and space gain techniques. The firm supplies oneoff solutions for difficult ground engineering projects including design and build.
