The Olympic Delivery Authority yesterday issued a glut of announcements on 2012 venues including the Aquatics Centre, Velodrome and Media Centre
The contract to build the aquatics centre will be fought out between Balfour Beatty, Eiffel and Hochtief after all three were selected to enter a competitive dialogue process. A preferred contractor will be announced by the end of the year.The ODA also shortlisted four development consortia to build the media centre. They are:
- Babcock Brown with Balfour Beatty and BDP Architects
- Bouyges with Development Securities and Hopkins Architects
- Carillion with Igloo and Allies & Morrison Architects
- Rosemound with Norwest Holst and Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson Architects
An invitation to bid for the Velodrome contract was also announced.
