Olympic big hitter joins Green Building Council

Former London 2012 planning chief Alison Nimmo has joined the UK Green Building Council’s board of trustees.

Nimmo, director of design and regeneration at the Olympic Delivery Authority from 2007, became chief executive of the Crown Estate in 2012.

Her latest role will see her join the board responsible for overseeing the UKGBC’s work creating a more sustainable built environment.

Nimmo said: “I’ve worked with UKGBC for many years and it’s an honour to be appointed to its board of trustees.

“It’s a progressive organisation playing an important role helping the real estate industry to engage effectively with government and to create a more sustainable built environment, positioning the UK as an exemplar.”
