Off the wagon

We should think very carefully before jumping on the Brunel bandwagon. Antony Oliver's comments on Brunel and English Heritage highlight that Brunel (and all the Greatest Briton candidates) were English, not British.

The suggestion that Mr Clarkson with his petrol-head image should automatically be awarded an ICE fellowship is hardly compatible with all that is to be achieved with sustainable transport.
