Nuttall completes Ockley landslip repairs ahead of schedule

Network Rail has confirmed that Bam Nuttall has completed repairs to a landslip-damaged embankment in Surrey five days ahead of schedule.

The collapse of the embankment at Ockley at Christmas led to line restrictions and closures on the Dorking to Horsham line.

Nuttall has installed sheet piled walls and placed more than 4,000t of material to stabilise the area and reconstruct the damaged embankment.

“This has been a fantastic effort from everyone involved,” said Network Rail route managing director Tim Robinson. “We have had teams on site since the line first collapsed on December 25 and a great deal of work had to be done just to get equipment to the location.
