NCE is looking for recent graduates with the potential to be a future industry leader to enter this year’s NCE Graduate Awards.
The NCE Graduate Awards are a fantastic way to showcase the best of graduate talent.
Graduate recruitment at major construction companies is at its highest level for years as the economy recovers and the industry readies itself for a substantial amount of major infrastructure work.
With the new government committing itself to major projects such as High Speed 2 and the Thames Tideway Tunnel, graduate engineers can enjoy their pick of jobs and opportunities in the sector.
The winner will…
- Meet the construction minister
- Sit on government committees
- Work with the ICE President
- Share £4,000 prize money
- Achieve the accolade of being NCE Graduate of the Year!
To qualify you must have graduated in 2014 from a first or post-graduate civil engineering, or related, degree course. The judges will want to know about the your academic and engineering achievements during university, at work, during a gap-year and in your spare time. They want to see your enthusiasm and pride in being a civil engineer and how fresh ideas and blue-sky thinking take centre stage in a short essay on a topical construction theme. Full entry details are here and the entry deadline is Friday 4 September 2015.
The judging panel of senior directors from our sponsoring companies will read every entry, looking for all round ability. Enthusiasm and pride in becoming a civil engineer is as important as academic and engineering skills.
The top six entrants will come face to face with the judges at the ICE on the 6 November and return on Friday 27 November for the awards lunch where the 2015 NCE Graduate of the Year will be announced.
The awards are free to enter, simply complete the online entry form, highlighting why you should be chosen as one of the six winners in these highly respected industry awards.
NCE, and our sponsors, believe there has never been a more important time to recognise and reward graduates - our industry’s future leaders.
