This year the President's Parliamentary Reception will take place on 11 July starting at 6.45 p. m. courtesy of sponsor Lord Howie of Troon.

Owing to the size of the venue this year - the Attlee Room in the House of Lords - and the considerable demand for the event, attendance at the reception has been restricted to invitation only, with emphasis on local associations. For the year 2001 the ballot for terrace space is taking place in the next fortnight. Dates for the 2001 reception will be circulated.

Last week's issue carried an article about the Tay Wastewater Project. The picture included was actually of the Baldovie Waste to Energy plant.
