ICE news

Nominations are invited for this year's historical engineering awards. Projects must involve the structural maintenance, strengthening, restoration or conservation of bridges or aqueducts more than 30 years old.

The structures must be in England or Wales and have been completed within the two years preceding the closing date of 28 April.

The deadline for entries for the Young Railway Engineer of the Year Competition has been extended to 29 February. The competition seeks to identify an engineer under 35 who has demonstrated exceptional qualities in a demanding railway related project.
