Not so boring after all

Visiting the ICE's website recently I was astonished to find that the institution had not encompassed the worldwide civil engineering industry.

The youth of today is ITliterate and easily surfs the net.

Those about to start on a career and wondering if civil engineering is for them, would look at the ICE's site page and find it rather dry.

However, dig a little deeper and there are web cameras on major civil engineering sites across the world, together with detailed descriptions of major civil engineering projects.

Although many of those projects are described in German, French and Italian there is usually an English summary. Why not introduce some of these links to the ICE home page?
