Letters to the editor

Whoever wrote that the media centre at Lord's 'makes absolutely no compromise to its historic setting yet blends to perfection with buildings a century older' (NCE 21 October) can have no conscience, or a great capacity for putting tongue in cheek.

I have looked at the apparition from the pavilion and believe that if I had received a commission to design 'a media centre utterly incongruous with its setting' I should have come up with something very similar to this.

E R Giles (M), 'Oakleigh', Gorelands Lane, Chalfont St Giles, Bucks, HP8 4HQ
