Northern Ireland infrastructure spending bonanza

Consultant RPS is positioning itself to mop up work in an anticipated Northern Ireland infrastructure spending bonanza by buying local environmental specialist Kirk McClure Morton. The £8.4M acquisition gives RPS 140 extra staff based in Belfast. Financial director Gary Young said that the huge investment in roads, rail and water is expected as a dividend of the present peace negotiations. Last week RPS also took over Dutch environmental consultant BCC for £1.64M.
